I have had the FLIR for about a week now, and your analysis is spot on! It is a little complicated but it seems to be getting more comfortable. I really like the looks of the Gossen, but never held one. Thanks for the comparison.

I clicked on this as I have the exact same Flir mm. It's quite simple once you get the hang of it. Has the features needed for working with both plumbing and electrics. The india manufactured mm seems interesting.

I have the Flir IM75 and it operates in a similar manner to the DM92, I find I have to have the backlight on to get the clarity around the menu symbols. Not a big fan of the use of AAA for the battery pack, especially with the torch function available. Nice video TETC.

Nice!
Flir looks to be on a mission, good build quality! Time tells all on any instrumentation.
Nice video!!!
I will say this technicians today have great tool selection since I been in the field.
I remember the Simpson 260 being state of the art analog meter, still is!!

I guess the Flir because of the display. I'd need to see more of its features though. I would need to read up on how well it measures Frequency, 4-20ma current and DC voltage and Resistors.

OK I'll chime in then 😀 i have the flir meter above this one the dm93, only difference is ive got Bluetooth connectivity, these meters are made in Taiwan not USA, check on the back of the meter or the box, the markings and logos on the flir circuit board are identical to that of the appa multimeters, the triangle probes are appa probes, the temp probe that comes with the flir is a appa temp probe, the navigation key on the flir is prominent on the 500 series appa meters, the screen on the flir is identical to the appa 500 series meters,
On my flir dm93 there is a very short break on the audible tone (buzzer) right at the begging of touching probes, it will go other flir reviews on utube also do this, i don't know why, ive tried to find out, flir won't answer 😕 I also own the appa idm 503 & 505, exact same problem with the continuity break in the tone, at the very beginning of touch, these flir meters are appa made, fact. No two ways about it, ive got too many, and too much is the same.
