something about this reminded me so much of my childhood, I think she's done that on purpose but she did a really good job with it. I think it is this feeling of being overwhelmed by everything back in my childhood. Also the dark, which is where the night light comes in. I always needed some kind of light back then and it always gave some kind of comfort. And all that change is kind of stepping out of that comfort which is necessairy, but it leaves you out in the big, cold, overwhelming world until you somehow make it and realise how beautiful life actually is. It just reminds me of the random melancholy that I felt as a kid and it's so confusingly beautiful.

I wish this was her dedut song. This was always my favorite song to listen to but I’m not upset with the song that helped her gain popularity. I’m so happy for her. I still remember when she only had 200k subscribers. I missed gatekeeping her music lol but truly I’m so happy for her.
