Bridget, those were some gorgeous bookies. I've only caught one about 3.5 in long around red river nm. Most fishing areas in nm are a little more competitive than up where you're at so wild fish by the rd don't usually make it that big. Anyway, great vid.

A good place is Moose Creek, ID. You have to fly in. The Western-slope Cutts have NEVER seen many artificials because the pressure there is so light. I can't fly-fish (too clumsy) so I use spinning gear. It's tough because you have to do a serious high-speed retrieve but even with flies, lots of rocks in the creek. I'd hire a plane or two out of grangeville airport to fly in you and your crew. Primitive camping, but great trout fishing. PM me if you go. I can give you directions from the campground off the airport to the site of the creek. Easily traversed walking bridge and easy access down to the creek.

Bridget -- This is the first of your shows that I've seen. Since you asked for interests:

I am especially interested in fishing in brook trout lakes. The lakes I fish are in northern Ontario, with very stubborn brook trout, so anything enlightening would be appreciated. It seems that they either hit or they don't, and most of the time, they don't. I'm fine on shallow lakes with risers, but when they are deeper, they are more difficult.

I'd like to know something about the situations being shown, without endangering the fisheries, of course. For instance, where do you guide, a general idea of location of places (for instance, "NW Kansas" or "Cuyahoga County, OH"), what is the date when the situation was filmed, elevation if in the western states, which flies failed and which didn't, retrieves tried (just as you explained in this programme)....that sort of thing. All those variables are so important to learning anything.

I'm anxious about the cats, though. If they wander off exploring, they may never safely return, especially the unleashed kitten. Shouldn't they be at home?

We have Brook trout streams around here, it's all catch and release here, it's a very delicate fishery in Pennsylvania.
