The ego forces us to see things in different ways that some things are right and others are wrong, but some people have taught themselves to live beyond this artificial boundary; these people have experienced ego death.
Ego death is not truly a death because the ego is always part of us; it is the suppression of the ego's power over us. In ego death, we evolve beyond the chains of our ego, learning to control our lives without its influence. Ego death does not happen suddenly; it takes time and moves from one stage to another.

Been in it since August 2021. Now it's February 2023. The sickest toughest most painful journey I've ever been on in my life. Like being thrown into a centrifuge that won't stop. Combined with a roller coster inside. Everything is thrown around. Got to see film sequences from my entire life. To see where everything comes from. It's not over yet. But I have accepted and now follow what comes. At first I resisted. Painful as hell. Like dying inside.

Perhaps you will even have to ignore relatives who wish a better life for you, just because they want you to survive, they can't see what you're seeing and you can't explain it. It's a painfully tormenting process, looking within and finding chaos and no ground to stand on. We can't run away from it once we walk through that door. We have to stay present, accept the surging waves of regret, shame, confusion, fear, rejection of what once seemed real. I'm glad I have found explanations of this transition because I know that my ego is a house of cards. I can see now the glimmer of light that shines through the rubble and detritus of my ego based false life. Love is everything. What ever the question, love is the answer.

Maybe ego death is all about going within, the ultimate spiritual lesson. We’ll never be the same. I miss my old life in lots of ways, I’ll never have an identity again and that is a strange thing in this world.

For me, the first stage is I question everything that happens in my life. I prayed, asked for guidance & promised to change myself.

Second, I'm getting tired of the world, I used to be someone who really depended on social media. I then isolated myself.

Third, I entered the dark night of the soul, everyone drifted away, I was completely alone. In this phase, I also experienced a crisis of identity & it's very scary, my personality was split, at that time I thought I was crazy.

Fourth, I began to enter the phase of accepting the fact that happened and forgive everyone, including myself, and let go. Meet my inner child to make peace and go through this process together. Now, I can recognize my inner child wounds and then act more positively.

Right now, my heart is at peace & much happier. Whatever problem is going on doesn't affect me as it used to. My challenge is I have to be able to surrender to the universe & let go of my control.

This sounds more like a transformation of one’s relationship with the ego than ego death. Ego death is a mystical state of being in which the individual identity dissolves (usually temporarily) into universal consciousness and may proceed a sort of spiritual rebirth. In Sanskrit one term for this used in yoga traditions is nirvikalpa samadhi, roughly translated as non-conceptual absorption.

I’m in a point where I understand that we are pure consciousness with the source and even tho I love humanity more than ever I’m not attached, and that, to others shows as like if I don’t care. It’s hard to explain that, the things they worry about are no more the things I worry . I meditate with the collective to awaken people I don’t argue with other no more it is not my priority, everyone can think what they wish . I respect but, not into it no more.it’s hard when we do our shadow work and I still have some but I try every moment to heal it . This shall pass, and you will be in peace . Trust your self. My ego death came after months of intensive samatha meditation. I experienced something infinitely more powerful and frightening than what you are describing. My experience was true ego death, much like what people on DMT experience, except my experience resulted in a permanent change and took 18 months to fully integrate and come to terms with. Much of my experience was depersonalisation and derealization, much like psychosis and bad trip type experiences.

People coming into a spiritual journey. It is cyclical. "Death" is not a 1 off situation. Ego is actually shedding. A gradient between higher self and lower self. Ascenscion spirals upwards.
