Through the years, many people have told me on their first day of guitar lessons, "I just want to play a song" - so that's just what we'll focus on! 🎸This series is intended to teach you the basics of guitar by PLAYING ACTUAL SONGS in each video! 🎶 Of course, you'll still learn the foundational stuff along the way, but it'll be sprinkled in so you can still have fun and play your guitar while learning. 🤗

In this episode, we review our G and Cadd9 chords from the first lesson, and add a brand new chord - Dsus4! These are some of the most popular chords used in today's music and my goal is to show you how many songs you can already play as a complete beginner! 👍

Throughout this series, we'll dive deeper into topics like tuning your guitar, practicing chord transitions, and figuring out strumming patterns, but for this lesson, I want you to focus on your rhythm and transition speed by using the super helpful, but often overlooked metronome. ⏱I believe with all my heart that using a metronome can drastically improve your skills with learning ANY instrument and provides you with a solid foundation for what's to come! 💕

This is by far one of the best guitar tutorial series on Youtube. I went from not understanding chords, so I would just barely play chordless songs every couple of months when bored to slowly but surely actually learning song chords and being motivated to continue!
