How To Install Extensions In Inkscape

In this tutorial we'll be going over how to download and install extensions in Inkscape. This can be accomplished by downloading the extension and decompressing the zip folder. I'm looking into switching to Inkscape. While professionally I'm still bound to Microsoft and Adobe programs, I would like to switch my private stuff over to Linux soon and Inkscape seems to be the tool I need to replace Illustrator/Affinity. I have a niche use case where I would like to create pretty small graphics with it and would love to have a way to snap to individual pixels. Any suggestions and ideas if that is possibility with Inkscape? I love my vectors and would not like to resort to pixel art since I love the flexibility of creating and transforming shapes and I'm very used to this kind of approach.

After I installed an update, Inkscape 1.4 (86a8ad7, 2024-10-11), I can no longer drag and drop images into Inkscape. When I do, it opens a copy of Inkscape instead of inserting it into the current design. Have you ever seen that problem?
