It's an extremely fun, and quick, board game version of Stellaris. I've really enjoyed it so far.

This is actually an awesome game. Very much feels like a streamlined twilight imperium, definitely not a stellaris clone as some believe. It is a digital boardgame effectively.

Guys. It's a computerized board game for people who can't put 40 hours into a single Stellaris game. They changed the name because calling it Stellaris was confusing the hell out of people. This isn't very hard to understand.

It's the boardgame Twilight Imperium, just playable in an hour.

So is this 'baby's first Paradox game'? Honestly it's a brilliant idea, get them dependent on DLCs at young age and milk them for 80 years. Bravo.

It's just a short digital board game. It's so reductive to say that you can get anywhere near the Twilight Imperium experience in an hour, but I will admit this is a much closer beast to that game than it is to Stellaris in mechanics and game goals, player interaction, and theme.

Commentary about DLC, patches, its spin-off origin - it's all vapid placeholder for Stellaris and PDS woes that don't really apply to this game. It runs well, it's not developed by Paradox, and it has abandoned even the pretense of distilling Stellaris down into an hour. It's just a dev capitalizing on Stellaris popularity; learn some media literacy already.
