I have severe OCD got emitted 14 times to the mental hospital I'm 18. Definitely not something I wish on anyone took over my life when I was 13. I remember staying up all night all the time. Doing compulsions I would walk up and down the stairs sometimes 30 times in a row hated showering cause I would have to wash my hands multiple times and it always took forever at the end of everyday I was so exhausted jus from the OCD I couldn't get anything done and still cant to this day "it's better tho but its still pretty bad" but everything in my life fell apart from OCD Everything I enjoyed video games... hanging with friends. Jus every little thing people take for granted. Even eating. I used to think people would spit in my food or if I walked by a bad smell I couldn't eat it even today I was drinking a water bottle and my grandpa was really close to me and he breathed to close at least for " my OCD Standards lol" so I wouldn't drink it so yeah in every part of my life no matter what I do there is always always the obsessions and compulsions I have to do and it sucks very much I feel for anyone suffering from it also hopefully we get a cure!

Why does everyone just take medication for it. Why not try conquering it through behavioral therapy. I refuse to take any drugs for my condition because I do not want to have to rely on a drug to live happily... I'm sorry just my preference.
