This song is so sentimental. 1978 my freshman year in college, my first real crush and dreamboat. Wonder where she is now.
so glad I lived in the period of beautiful music and lyrics were written for my generation. Today's youth need to rediscover those magical times and what real music is

I'm but man.... he's got this sexy raspy mature real man's voice.... a super super duper cool Love his voice and his vibe... his guitar play and exceptional
feel to this particular song, especially the way he ended it - just musicianship at its best.

Chris lost part of his stomach during the pancreatic cancer operation.
He's been to hell.... and back!!!
But he's still here, thank God.

to see any 70s artist still performing is a
its like a glimpse of a very rare specie before it becomes extinct..

In don't care what he looks like, the voice is still king. I've been listening to him for 40 years. "On tthe beach", for me, will always be there up at the top of the summer chill out tunes along with "The boys of summer".

This song is like a bottle of good wine,
It just keeps getting better as it ages.

He had pancreatic cancer and has lost parts of his pancreas, duodenum, bile duct and gall bladder. No pancreas means diabetes and a weak immune system. He takes pills and injections everyday, fighting to stay alive! Sweet Jesus, how can anyone complain about his appearance and singing in a lower key?
