From "The Office": an American television mockumentary sitcom broadcast on NBC. Created as an adaptation by Greg Daniels of the British series of the same name, it is a mockumentary that follows the day-to-day lives of the employees of the Scranton, Pennsylvania branch of Dunder Mifflin, a fictional paper supply company. The series stars Steve Carell as Michael Scott, John Krasinski as Jim Halpert, Jenna Fischer as Pam Beesly and Rainn Wilson as Dwight Schrute.

Although Gabe was all wrong for Erin, the way Erin dumped Gabe was brutal.

It was such a cringe-worthy relationship but much like the actors for Ryan and Kelly, Zach Woods and Ellie Kemper really sell it in their performances, playing very odd characters in an unromantic and unhealthy relationship.

I don't think the way she dumped him was wrong at all of you think about it if she did it in a private setting he wouldn't have accepted it and pressured her to change her mind. By doing it when she has a confidence boost and Infront of people they will know they are broken up and he can't manipulate her to change it.

Oh man Gabe was such a great addition to the show, especially as time went on. So many of his moments make me laugh out loud

Some people didnt like Gabe but he was hilarious

The way Erin dumped Gabe was brutal, but 100% justified. Gabe has been shown to be manipulative (whether consciously or unconsciously) and Erin often struggles to assert herself. Even the way they got together was pretty skeezy- Gabe asked out his subordinate and Erin felt she couldn’t say no to her boss. I’m sure that, if she broke up with him privately, Gabe would have pressured her into staying.

It’s a pattern we see with the men who are interested in Erin- they all, to some degree, take advantage of Erin’s naivety and overwhelming desire to be loved. Pete’s the only exception to this, and luckily the one she ends the show with.
