We were flying Delta from Florida back to Detroit. Our flight was canceled so we had to stand in line to book another flight because the Delta phone lines were jammed. So many people were rude and obnoxious in dealing with the gate agents. When our turn came we were kind and respectful. We were put on a flight leaving the next morning in first class.

Completely agree about grabbing a drink and snack prior. I fly weekly for work and have sat at an airport for up to 4 hours waiting. Storms. Hours. Anything. Well worth it to grab a drink!

All of your tips are gold! I’d add on that you could bring an empty bottle so you can fill up with water after TSA.

As a Delta Diamond Medallion member out of the SLC hub, these are all great tips. ALWAYS BRING WATER!!! I recommend Active NOISE CANCELLING headphones. As far as charging ports go, almost all Delta seats now have not only USB ports but also AC plugs at every seat with the exception of the small Sky west operated planes. Still a good idea to bring a spare USB battery. Lastly, take out your headphones when the flight attendants come to your row for service.

Your comments on passengers needing to be more civil and polite are spot on!!!!

Fly delta every week, they have charge ports, either bring your charge block and it's right under the seat, or usb charge port under TV.

Well the way the airlines board people is stupid. They should load the plane from the rear to the front. Way faster and more efficient. Myself, I always fly first, I would rather been sitting in the waiting area than on the plane. So I watch the line and always board near to last.

I'm flying alone from LAX to JFK soon, I'm disabled and need more leg room so hopefully comfort plus will have enough. This will be my first time flying this far on my own, so I'm a little anxious but also very excited. Thank you for the tips! I'm sure they'll be very useful for me.

THANK you for you rant on people listening out loud to media. We were stuck on a train with a kid listening to videos, games, whatever, from NYC to almost Montreal. I almost lost my mind.

We feel for you! We were booked to go back to Japan just as COVID lockdowns hit and we cancelled. We have now finally managed to book our trip again, but the people at Delta were awesome as doing all they could to get our credits organized and keep us in the loop about expirations and whatnot. We can't wait to go flying again!

Yes! The last one goes for hotels too it is so much easier to help someone if they booked directly through the brand instead of a third party.

True about bringing water and snacks, but remember you can just bring an empty aluminum bottle and fill it up in the airport post security.

My family avoids Delta Airlines like the plague because of a bad horror story one of us had. Every airline has them, and after seeing some surprising research. I figured out that they have a pretty good record. Every airlines has its bad day, but it's all on how they make it right. Bigger airlines like United, American, and Delta. They have options to get you where you're going. When things go wrong. They're just a safer bed that way.

You're tips are very accurate. Delta is my favorite! I've only had one delay in the past 4 yrs. Most of the time I arrive at my destination early. Plus, Delta is the only airline that offers a non-stop flight from San Diego to Detroit. It's convenient when I visit my fam in MI.

Delta is my favorite airline. Zachus gives good advice. I had to fly during the pandemic and it was great no one sitting next to me and they boarded the plane back to front.

We always booked nonstop flights. The connecting ones are more expensive, most times. Travel insurance works for coverage. We had to cancel the day before we had to leave. My wife's doctor would not let her fly.

Delta is pretty good. I fly Delta from the states to London every year. Upgraded to Comfort Plus for my upcoming trip . And I have to tell you, the food they serve on international is quite good. Great tips.
