Non alcoholic beer ? What’s the point

As a sober alcoholic, non-alcoholic beer really helps when I’m craving a beer. So that’s the point for me. It satisfies my craving without me getting drunk and relapsing.

The point is to make it easier for alcoholics to wean and get away from and sober from alcohol. It taste like beer but doesn't break your sobriety and helps the mind Think It's drinking so your body doesn't make you want alcohol and the withdrawals are easier as well. It's basically a placebo for alcoholics

I just quit after 30 years. I’m 46 the non alcoholic beers are helping out quite a bit. I can still crack open a cold one or two after a long day without the buzz. I’m glad the various brewers are embracing this.

I have been in long-term recovery for 10 years now and I still wouldn't drink kombucha or even use mouthwash unless it's alcohol-free.

When I was getting sober, non alcoholic helped A LOT. It was good for the flavor, getting home from work, and driving. Times id usually want a real beer normally, but would be all the happier to have something non alcoholic instead

I don’t ever comment on your stuff but my uncle was a severe alcoholic and started drinking these instead of regular beers and has turned a lot of things around for himself. Not saying it’s a great alternative but it helps some people

I’m sober. I love na beer. I still go to boring events where men sit around and drink and it takes the edge off of my desire to drink.

The difference in an addicts brain versus most people is crazy. Im amazed that people know when to stop, im amazed when people are like "thats good" or even say "no more im good" like no. My brain says "oh this feels good" so i need to make sure i feel 10000% and for as long as possible. The more alcohol, the better i will feel. Its just crazy that some people just dont see it that way, and some people truly enjoy the taste of different beers and different makes. People ask me what my fave drink is or what my fave way of consuming cannabis is - girl, ANY WAY, ill take it all. I will take it any way in every form as long as it hits quick and i feel less clouded. Just crazy that theres clear vision in their minds when viewing substances but i just will take it smoke it drink it eat it in any way you offer it.

Not sure why you would do that - if your sober. I feel like that’s a slippery slope. Taste like beer, but not getting the buzz. Then the pissed off addict in you kicks in because it was tricked and your just along for the ride for a full relapse.

Sober guy here, drank non alcoholic beer and just decided without the alcohol i didn't like beer.
