India shunned western pressures to raise imports from Russia last year. Russia, whose oil is available at a discount due to some western nations slapping sanctions, is now India's top oil supplier. India's biggest expenditure is on oil purchase, so if it's getting it on discount, why bother about anybody's reaction from which source it's getting . Every country has all the right to protect it's own national interest, irrespective of how the world is faring . If the US and western countries wants to prolong the Ukraine war, it's their problem .

For Europe, avg salaries for entry are 400kRs per month and in India is 21kRs per month(according to google but mostly 10-15k). They can afford to buy energy at a higher rate than a 20 times income difference But for as even a 1Rs difference is a huge impact. So we have to buy oil as cheaply as possible. Our mister said, "we sent our buyers to buy oil at a reasonable price from where ever we get not told them to buy Russian oil".So Russian oil is cheaper so we buy them.
