There are hundreds of kingdoms and empires in CK3 but there are also hidden formable nations that many crusader kings players have yet to encounter . These formable ck3 kingdoms and ck3 empires require ridiculously specific events, decisions and triggers in order to form them and in this video we will uncover how to play as some of the most unknown countries in crusader kings 3. This video was recorded on the most recent CK3 Royal Court DLC but will likely remain relevant for the foreseeable future - let’s get started!

actually characters of any culture/faith can form the kingdom of livonia, you just get the nickname "the scourge of the baltics" instead of "the father of the batlics"

I managed to form Greater Armenia starting as the incapable ruler in 1066. One of the hardest playthroughs I've done.

You honestly have one of the best paradox content on yt, also your Polish pronounciation made my day. You are really doing great work

I love it how every time Armenia is mentioned, you make a System of a Down reference.

I can only imagine the cultural-linguistic clusterfuck that would have resulted if the Crusader Empire was an actual, long term thing IRL. Like the Norman Invasions x1000

It's been a long time since we've done a top 10! What future videos would y'all like to see? What other games besides CK3 would you like to see content in?

Correction for the Roman restoration decision, you don't have to be the HRE or ERE to take the decision. You can also reform Rome if you have taken the "unify Italy" decision and have Latin heritage and be Christian or Hellenic.

The hardest one I formed was the Archduchy of Austria in about 920 AD. It was so frustratingly hard I was just about in tears, lol. First, I had to found the HRE, then somehow convince everyone to NOT vote for me so I could be reverted back to a duke. I was able to rush forming the HRE in one generation by swearing fealty to East Francia then consuming them from within. Then I was stuck as a duke for like 50 years while I tried to rush 'royal perogative' so I could get to Authority level 3. Not as simple as it sounds, as being stuck as a fairly low-powered duke I found I was at constant risk of losing leadership of my culture (which I didn't want to diverge for RP reasons). It seemed that for every county inside my lands I converted to my culture, this other duke I couldn't really touch was converting like 1.2 of his own to my culture. But eventually I got the tech, but then I had to hold everything together while trying to NOT get elected as the Emperor of the HRE, (or somehow get a dynasty member elected, which just wasn't happening) and also get a strong hook on the current Emperor. I managed to get a fairly decent schemer as my character, but my god was it so hit and miss fabricating the strong hook. You'd get a weak hook, find out a secret that blocks you fabricating until you revealed it, or fail, and he was at constant risk of dying. I just about cried tears of relief when it all finally came together in the end, but there is SO FREAKING MUCH that can go wrong and completely screw it up.
I was very happy to see that yes, it set my inheritance to primogeniture, and I was able after that to build an amazingly stable and wealthy empire (the Empire of Austria) without a single care over a messy inheritance. After I grew to the size of the HRE I even got elected back as the HREmperor, (which I actually tried to avoid by voting for anyone who wasn't me, since I didn't want all their crappy lands dragging on my court amenities costs), but I eventually decided to just merge it with the Empire of Austria and call it a day.

Forming Greater Armenia is one of my favorite runs, and I had this dream run where I started as Rurik, got the duchy of Cilicia by a Varangian adventure, proceeded to form Greater Armenia, and finally became the Saoshyant.

Alzebo, they adjusted something. I was able to start as Ivar the Boneless, reform Hellenism for 250 piety, without having to sacrifice anyone. Went on to form Kingdom of Isle and Mann. Became Norman. Became English. Eventually reformed Rome. It feels magnitudes easier than it did before. Nothing more cursed than an English, Hellenic, Emperor of Rome.

the roman empire is extremely powerful: it cores every empire you own, meaning you pretty much stop having inheritance issues entirely and it gets really hard for enemies to have claims on your land.

another cool thing you apparently can't do yet in CK3 is form the Latin Empire, which is in the game files as a titular title but there's no mechanics to form it or even spawn it
by the way, the Kingdom of Trinacria and Naples are the two halves of the old kingdom of Sicily created after the Aragonese invasion - King of Trinacria would remain a title in the Aragonese crown until it was all awkwardly meshed together as Spain and then, in the posnapoleonic world, the two kingdoms were binded together once more as the Kingdom of Two Sicilies

I formed the Roman Empire by starting as King Sancho II of Castille in Ironman Mode. It took me until 1419 to reform the Roman Empire and it took me until 1450 to reclaim all lost land.

I’ve actually done the Roman Empire in 1066 as Austria and took over the HRE for generations, and eventually turned it in to partition inheritance, but not in Ironman

There is a hard one you missed, the empire of the northern sea . It involves parts of england, denmark and norway. I usually transition from mann and the isles into it

Important to note that you can form the Roman Empire if you’ve taken the “Unite Italia” decision.

I created Outremer yesterday, and I became an absolute superpower in the process. I then spent the rest of the game helping other kingdoms nearby resisting holy wars, redirecting crusades to form other Christian realms in the area and consolidating the realm by spreading my Faith, improving cultural acceptance and killing revolting peasants. It was a great run.
