The key is to produce renewable electricity more and more, to make it affordable. To use electricity more and more in everyday life: cook on electricity, heat homes with electricity, more electric and hybrid cars, trucks, trains. Every little thing that we do which causes pollution can be substituted with electricity that comes from clean sources. Even the forests that burned in California, that wood could be burned in much cleaner renewable way and produce much electricity. Even if turned into gas and generators equipped with catalyst converters would be SOO much cleaner then just wood burning by itself. All the countries have to sit down and think of ways they can manufacture clean affordable solutions. No waterfall should be left behind without a hydro power generating plant.

There's not enough unity between large companies. Why can't for example a car manufacturer like Citroën give tesla a car with no engine and have tesla design an motor for it and batteries to make it go 300 miles per charge. And then mass produce electric cars with a propolsion system build by a well trusted company like Tesla. I think that would be the most cost effective way of the world to achive this goal. Provide such practical technology at lowest possible cost with quality that will last.
