Tour of Chios Town, Chios Greece

For one of the largest cities on a Greek Island it isn't too bad. The waterfront is quite touristy and very noisy with all the traffic and congestion but the back streets have more character with lots of shops, tavernas and markets. The main shopping street is a little more upscale and contemporary but just take any side street and you'll find more traditional and smaller shops! For a nice break from Chios New Town go to Old Town and you'll be taken back decades to find a village-like atmosphere inside the old Kastro Walls!
