Limb Lengthening Surgery Regrets

We all have had those times where we've made a decision that comes back to haunt us later... not having time to iron a dress shirt for a special outing, taking the wrong turn on the highway thus making us even later for work, or buying a new electronic device that has poor quality and you have to go through the trouble to return it etc.

But all of those things pale in comparison to something like regretting the decision to get limb lengthening surgery done. I mean, just thinking about the amount of time, money, pain and effort you invest into the procedure just doesn't sit well with me if you don't like the outcome of your choice.

A more efficient way is to avoid or reduce the regret by taking preventative measures or just being more mindful of how you perceive the end result.

You lose a huge amount of money and time, if that money and time needed to have been invested in a more necessary places it turns into a regret as well. Right now it's a concern for me as I run out of time everyday :(

I had a leg length discrepancy correction about 20 years ago. My right tibia to my left was about 3” different and was causing hip issues, scoliosis etc.

I can’t even begin to tell you how badly I wish I found alternative solutions for this correction. I now have constant stage 4 arthritis from surgeries and still have muscle loop challenges due to this.

I understand it had an application but the body has so many systems developed around your bone that all get affected.

People doing this for aesthetic needs blows my mind. I have to imagine 10 years down the road they all strongly regret it.

is there a shortening surgery? I am 6'4" and I feel uncomfortable standing out. It causes MASSIVE dysphoria. I have believed my life would be PERFECT or close to it if I were 5'10 or so. I can't buy half of the sports cars out there as my hair brushes the top and causes my head to CONSTANTLY be tickled. I could go on and on about the problems I have but I won't bore you.
