Old architecture make me want to go out, explore the city. New one just make me want to lock myself in a room

We have lost so much of the whimsical romantic art in architecture. It was so warm and charming.

I think the shift in architecture mirrors the shift in how we live our lives.

Those benches with the homeless prevention handrails on them will never fail to crush my soul.

Everything went from warm, cozy and lively ❤to cold, sharp and lifeless...

Lighting and the time of day is masterfully used here to portray old architecture as warm and comforting and the new as cold and depressing

We need to not only preserve old architecture but build new buildings in traditional beautiful styles.

Old architecture is full of art. Whereas nowadays, no one wants their child to be an artist...

The usage of lighting in the video is incredible. The older times being warm, serene, and slower. And on the other hand, the fast-paced, technology driven phase being cold and blue, with monotonous repetitive structures. As if the authenticity is lost.

I love visiting Europe where they keep and maintain their older buildings for hundreds of years and it shows culture and character. In the U.S. we tend to tear down and bulldoze anything 50 years old and rebuild with concrete and glass with zero character.

I will forever and always say this:
Art is the PINACLE of humanity and it is what defines us as human beings and describes us in our most raw and pure form.

Yet, people don’t care for art anymore these days. It’s all about the STEMS. Without art, there would be no stems. Both are intertwined.
