Try, Fail, Analyse, Adjust, great advice! Several years ago I badly smashed my right wrist in a motorbike crash. For decades I was a leftie guitarist and I could no longer get my hand under the neck. I decided to play right handed and this was far more difficult than I thought it would be. Now my playing is better than it ever was! Last July I fell in love with the sound of the cello and decided to learn to play it. I am now in a community orchestra and plan on taking my first grade in May. It is sometimes hard as my right wrist, now artificial, can give me pain. However, I have an amazing teacher and she shows me different ways of approaching my play. Thanks for the continued encouragement.

Yeah, you're absolutly right.
After 5 years of selfeducation I was stuck. My family (my daughteris a trombonist) convinced me to take lessons. Lucky for me, I did not do everything wrong.
And when my teacher gives me an advice, it is a huge help.
Now, after one year of Etudes and Scales I've have to do my first Breval Sonata. And well, bit by bit it is getting better. 😅
