Remember- Iran's revolution also started as a student movement. However, the vacuum was filled by the more vocal and violent- The Islamist. The original student protesters never wanted this type of a regime.

* Iran revolution 2.0
*Upcoming year we will witness full-blown sharia law in Bangladesh
*Current situation is bad for India
*Only good news is Indian textile industry can overtake the market share of the Bangladesh industries

Bangladesh stands strong in our rich cultural diversity and unity. Provocative actions aim to divide us by playing the religion card, but our focus is on unity and protecting all minorities including Hindus and Christians. Students and general civilians who took items from former PM Sheikh Hasina's residence and have caused vandalization, have acknowledged their mistakes and returned almost of the items to the former PM Sheikh Hasina's residence. Please don't misunderstand us. Bangladesh loves India. Please stand with us. Bangladesh needs international support.

Political system in Bangladesh is immature. Without sheikh hasina and Kalida Zia, the power will finally rest with the most organized and ideological group - Jamaat e Islami.

End of Bangladeshi growth story, it will degenerate into a semi Pakistan.

Nice to see how PM Modi met khaleda zia during his visit in 2015. And it's weird to know why PM Hasina would have a problem in the Indian side meeting the Bangladeshi opposition when she could meet the INC first family so warmly in India. That's how bilateral relations work

I think, we should let Bangladeshis figure things out. If this is a Jamaat movement, then economy will tank and Awami will be back in power. If it's not a Jamaat movement, then nothing to complain about.

Yes, you are right. We neither support Hasina nor Khaleda. Khaleda might lead the country to autocracy.

I didnt see any anti-india rhetoric during the protest, the way this reporter wanted to portray.
People of Bangladesh want to have a positive relationship with all neighbors including India.

India should think of be a friend of people of Bangladesh rather any Govt. or party, so that friendship becomes real shape !

Hopefully, the Bangali people will be able to get a truly democratic and pluralistic government. We want a stable and economically growing Bangladesh. That is in our interests. Hopefully Bangladesh will not turn out to be an instrument in the hands of USA-ISI / China.
