(1372) Challenge: Obscene False Setter

preview_player
Показать описание
This challenge lock is from Dustin, one of our younger LockSport members. He went to quite a bit of work on his challenge and it REALLY was a false setter, giving me one of the deepest false sets I've encountered. The key was a bit....sticky... but did ultimately work with a little...convincing. All in all a great effort and if our young LockSporters are producing evil challenges like this, we might need to find a new hobby. The future holds great things.

so using your videos i went from being ok at picking to having just picked a master lock #3 that i disassembled and repinned with all spool pins from a master LOTO lock i had. i only used two springs going back and extreme biting on pin 3. this is a super satisfying skill to learn and i really appreciate the videos you put up. thank you

little pin = construction core #3 hole to prevent the T-pin from becoming a trap-pin which would seize the core.
I know you would figure that out if you re-watched your video, but it acts like an "easter egg" for us to figure out.

Dustin, nice work on the pick and lock, rough but tough! Plus, you got Bill to say talliwhacker! Nice picking Bill, I know the Goso kit is pretty bad, but it's not worth an impromptu surgery

The “I don’t know wtf I’m doing” lock.

First time I’ve seen it take longer to use the key than pick it!

I reckon this one didn’t quite work out as Dustin intended but still a great effort on both parts.

Thought it was a nice gesture to send that praxis kit. Top man Bill 👍

Bosnianbill sorry about the super Springs but all theNormal springs had at the time kind a launch them selves across my room and I couldn’t find them so I had to use what I had on hand

Nice video.Yep, there was a side (or 45° angle) pin just below pin three as you looked at the core before gutting (maybe new glasses instead of 😊
