...My cousin (sadly no longer with us) was a Marine Corps Nurse during WW2; indeed her unit was in Normandy the day after the Landings. They followed Patton's forces through Europe until VE Day. As her specialty was in diet, one of her duties at War's end was nursing Concentration Camp survivors back to health...something I've always been proud of.

While the original Sabaton version is more epic, this version almost sound like a movie version. Not an easy feat to do this one, but it turned out super well! You just earned a new sub from Sweden 💖

I love how you covered these hard history songs from Sabaton and added your almost fantastic twist on them. The harmonies, the echos and the pipes. Never expected them to work so well.

This is one of the most difficult songs to cover. Both my parents were teenagers who had to deal with the Nazis when their respective countries were taken over (and in both cases, they had the Soviet Army on the other side of the river before they fled. And then American bombs started falling on them. Their situation made the expression "between a rock and a hard space" seem like trivial silliness). They weren't Jewish, but were not considered fully human by the Nazi. The worst part was the constant confusion and uncertainty of the war.
I salute you for not letting the world forget.

You did great! Not an easy song to cover, well, of course due to the subject. But also because it was written for a deep, "epic sounding" voice. But you sang it perfectly really, all the harmonies were well delivered. You knew how to keep the right tone all throughout the song. Thus, this is a great cover!
