Here are all the links to the items I used in this video:

I have made a lot of pallet wood shingles and siding over the years. This is how I install siding and shingles on my DIY projects. It goes without saying that diy pallet wood projects can save you money.

Oh I so am one of the three people making to the end of your video 😁😁 Thank you for sharing, you just inspired the whole new level of my ideas about pallets. I have a massive stack of them and always wanted to create something really useful. Now I can. Thank you once again 🙏🙏😊😊

I know many commented about it but that corner detail re-using the leftover wedge is genius in its simplicity. Good job! :)

Today’s date is 2-14-25, and I’ve watched both videos all the way through. Which apparently makes me the lucky number 4th person to have paid as close attention as possible to these videos 🙂. I’m finishing a 2-tree tree house that’s about 10ft off the ground and completely supported by only the trees. I’ve got it completely tyvek’d and a metal corrugated roof put on. And now it’s time to put siding up. I considered putting up vinyl siding, and T1-11, and even vertical metal siding. But money is a bit tight, and there’s no shortage of free pallets in my local area. So these videos have definitely been a great resource. I’ll be cutting 12” pieces straight off the pallet, an

Thank you for this video too! I couldn't find many videos on YT explaining how to cut the wood shingles and how to assemble them for a roof and/or a wall. Thank you for being so thorough.

Instead of running a chalk line at the top of the previous shingle, you could create a spacer that you but on the top of the below one and then mark then top of the next shingle you're going to add. seems much faster to line up the top than the bottom.

You are who i want to be. The recycled pallets and mindset of how to do a project is fantastic. Im subbed and i hope to be doing my own projects like this in the future soon.

To save you some trouble on the corners, if you run 2 boards, one on each side of your wall all the way up, overlapping the front over your sides, you can run your shingles into them. If they are thicker then your shims, you can caulk them right to the boards that run the full height of the building. It may save you some time, and it will look nice too!

Two quick items 1-look up Pallet Buster tool. It will give you the 16 inch shingles instead of losing nearly 6 inches of each piece of deck.
2 instead of weaving the shingles at the corner I have installed one by four trim pieces vertically at each corner . Two pieces of trim to make a corner that way I don’t have to weave it. I only have to put the shingle to the trim. It’s less work and less aggravation.
Best of luck
