This is highly dependent on the movie theatre some of the name brand ones absolutely have refund policies like this but something small and local is highly unlikely.

Honestly, just pull an ol’ go to the bathroom a tiny bit before the credits start rolling, wait a while, go out and back to the same screening room. I’ve done it a few times, works like a charm.

As a person who works at a regal move theater, I would like to say that this is indeed false. We will not give you a refund for another movie if you “do not like the movie because it isn’t good” It’s not our fault that the movie is bad and the fact that YOU went to go see it.
