Police: Shooting on UC campus not random act

CINCINNATI (WKRC) - It appeared a drug deal was what led to Monday night's commotion at the University of Cincinnati.
A single shot was fired around 8 p.m. October 17, near the baseball field and Dabney Hall. No one was hit but it did lead to a lot of police officers, patrol cars, and dogs on and around campus.
The "shelter in place" was lifted about an hour and a half later. UC leaders and students alike thought the school did a good job responding.
UC Police Chief Tony Carter said, "UC is still a safe campus. Unfortunately, this did happen. We were aggressive in responding. We stayed afterwards. And the reason the lockdown was for such a duration was to ensure safety as best that we could."
Police still haven't found the shooter but they did find marijuana and now they're questioning the man he targeted.
