Stranger in a Strange Land - An 8mm Shortfilm

Over the summer of 2023, I had the privilege of serving in Slovakia for a second time on a mission trip. Before I left, I found an old Kodak "Brownie" 8mm camera at an antique store for $20, so I figured this would be a good way to test it. These are some selected scenes from the film I shot, rearranged in a more cohesive order. This was my first time shooting on film, so my camera work isn't great, but it's a start.

The town featured is Spišská Nová Ves and is one of my favorite places in the world. So many great memories were made here that I sometimes have a hard time not dwelling on the good things of the past and looking toward the good things in the future. That was why I chose Isaiah 43:18-19 ESV to precede the video.
