My dad was an 80s teen and a metalhead. He was into Maiden and all that good stuff. When I got into Maiden as a kid in the early 2000s I asked him for song recommendations. He named this one as his fave. It became my fave Maiden song (and album) as well. He later took me to see them in 2006.

He passed away a few years ago now and I inherited his Greek copy of Somewhere In Time, with the song titles and such in Greek letters. Also found this single on "12 vinyl some years back. Very cool. I always think of my dad when I listen to this song and album. I wish it was regarded as much of a classic album as Powerslave, Piece of Mind or the Number of the Beast.

I would love to see a film based on Iron Maiden Lore / Legacy of the beast in the style of the original heavy metal comic movie. Eddy is the multidimensional entity and the continuity of the story.

Possibly, THE best guitar solo in Heavy Metal history! The emotion & technical prowess exuding from it still raises my hair to this very day. It tells this Stranger's story all on its own with fret work from bottom to top & dynamics that were (and still are) innovative for this genre, imho. \m/\m/
