On the 63rd floor of a building in NYC’s Financial District sits one of the city’s most creative fine dining restaurants, Saga. We follow chef James Kent and his team as they put together a 7-course tasting menu that includes a citrus salad, Moroccan tagine, black bass, and porcini custard.

The head chef saying that he wants all his guys to go off somewhere better and be successful made me respect him so much.

Watching this after hearing the unfortunate news of the chef’s passing!😢 He was such an inspiration! May he rest in peace.

I heard this chef passed away. So heartbreaking. Loved him in this vid and would loved to have worked for him. Condolences to his family and colleagues

This dude has understood what it means to be a true leader and he's even passing this skill on. The moment Calvin tells the guy it's too salty says so much about the working attitude and atmosphere.

I love it when he says “beat it, nerd”. The love they show to the ingredients is awesome.

I'm really happy for James. Considering he had to hide behind his background for so long and now look at him runs what looks like a fun, interesting and delicious place to dine at. Eater found a great place to tour!

SAGA is incredible. There's also a dry aged duck version of the last savory course and its the best duck I've ever eaten. You need to go there to understand.

This is what I love about cooking? It doesn't matter where you come from or your background, Let the food speak for itself. Chef, I'm a chef as well and your food is amazing.

This guy was just on Munchies Chef's Night Out, it was wholesome because of just getting wasted like everybody else he went out with his kids and wife. He seems like a good guy who's not a pretentious chef that I see in these videos about these kinds of restaurants.

Jamal (as a person and as an owner/chef) is incredible! I was impressed not only by his personal story (he says "I don't need to hide behind my first name - I have my own personal stories to tell") but also by his genuine interaction with his staff (the guy saying "my life is perfect since I started working here" with his boss right next to him is hilarious!). And it does not hurt that he grew up listening to Wu Tang Clan 😉

This is the best video I've watched of a Chef & I've watched many of these. He is heartwarming & just wants everyone on his team to succeed. This is amazing! Will definitely save up to go here in the future.
