This is brilliant acting on Terry's part. The genuine frustration, turning to quiet anger, then a broken man. It's hilarious, but every part of it is done in a way that is hysterical and completely understandable. Love it.

Fun fact this actual Disney princess castle set took me nearly 8 hours to build for my little sister one Christmas (minus the wheels but i do recall the tri tip metal thing) it's instructions were not easily interpreted an event that made this joke infinitely better because of personal relation it makes me feel better knowing that some writer who worked on that show must have gone through my exact experience and decided to write a slightly exaggerated bit based on his own struggle the castle didn't have wheels but it may as well had them with how much sense the instructions made

This brings to mind the frustrations some of my former coworkers while I was working at a library went through when they got something that required were lots of parts, the instructions were clear as mud and in the end, they were basically in this state of pleading with me to figure it out. I took one look at those instructions, snorted derisively at them due to how badly written and laid out before tossing them aside and just carefully studied the picture of the assembled product on the box and figured it out from that. It's moments like that, and scenes from shows like this, that make me wonder if it's no accident that instructions tend to be so half-assed in their writing and illustrations, and if the people writing them want the people who plan to use them to put things together to suffer as much as they did writing them!

I love that Boyle doesn’t try to suggest that he could make the doll house because he was smarter. Completely erasing the stereotypes of the “muscular idiot.”
