I'm moroccan, Moroccan architecture is very rich and diverse . I love tadelakt, Zellig, wood, plaster, fabrics, leather...

Moroccan here who grew up in Casablanca with Zelig. On top of being pretty, their number one use is keeping the house cool in the very hot summer. So I wouldn't advise this to anyone that lives in a cold environment

Personally, trendy tile sounds like something to stay far, far away from, particularly if it's that expensive.

Even if you have plenty of money to change out your tile in three years when this trend is played out, it will still be messy, dusty, and time consuming to have the tiles switched out.

Now, if they're something that you think you'll be overjoyed to have with you for the rest of your life, then I can understand indulging in this trend.

Wood tone or terracotta colour porcelain tiles for my kitchen and bathroom 1x3m. Less grout lines less cleaning problem. 🎉

A personal pet peeve. They may look great in Morocco where they originated, but in the average American contemporary home they just look like poorly laid uneven ceramic tiles. A nightmare to clean too.
