I thought the most interesting idea of the series was taking a gimmick (the alien mech frames) and using it as a way to level the field between 1st World and 3rd World militaries in combat....and the struggle to retain that edge.

no matter what you do with a mech, aslong as it isnt under 10 ft, it will get clobbered by machinegun fire, autocannons, mbts, EAT, HATs, LATs, grenades. stuff like that.

tbh, the most realistic aspect you can possibly have in a gundam is the A10 seeing more action than it ever had before. An A 10 would eat up mechs like the cookie monster inhales cookies

The funniest part, is that tanks will never be retired on land. Nor will atmospheric aircraft.
They're simply too efficient and cost-effective in their roles.

Honestly I like the idea that training>Equipment. Like I would rather have a unit of 30 year olds who gave been in service for almost a decade with the same equipment than a unit of 20 year olds with brand new cutting edge equipment because experience outranks everything.
