OCDs... I used to have it, then I manned up and put together a complete deck with every single OCD I had. Colored wheels and trucks, green top ply, grip with graphic and phillips hardware. I forced myself to ride it until it was done. At first i felt so wrong but then i stopped thinking about it.

Challenge your fears, set up an OCD-deck? Maybe you could do a video about it?

I ride a G026 Girl deck with thunder trucks and i guess it is the best combo I've ever ridden ... I love the shape and the 14" wheelbase

I think it's time to do those front crooks on the higher ledge! :D

They might even be easier to do on a higher obstacle, at least that was the case for me with front noseslides

You're so introspective. Props for that. This is another bonus of ageing, i guess :) Last time i saw a younger dude at a skatepark and every time he failed a trick he got way to emotional, throwing his board and baseball cap around, swearing and shouting. I was stoked to remember that i was nearly the same before i was 20 and today, almost 25 years later, i have to laugh on most of my bails.
Things are good while life goes on :)

@bendegros ..Nice skating BEN with your progress as always!...EVERY 1 of your videos is very inspiring and they never get old or monotonous, but always informative and funny, also very chill...good vibes man...you seem like really chill dude....ill be 34 in a couple months and just started skating again a few months ago after a 17 year hiatus...wish i had never stopped but im making up for it now and skating with my son who is 9 and recently got super into skating and everything about it or that has to do with it...he is what made me want to start skating again aside from just trying to teach him...then i ran across 1 of your videos and was blown away bc i have a VERY similar life story to yours as far as stopped skating and only was left with working and paying bills and falling into addiction and then becoming a father etc, so in a nutshell im an older guy now too and questioned if i was to old to start back skating (your mid life crisis video pretty much lol, but not really) but wanted to get back to something positive that i LOVED before to replace time, money, and effort of negative vices and so i started back skating and bought me and my son a COMPLETE each and it all jus fell back into place and then i seen 1 of your videos and that CONFIRMED AND SEALED THE DEAL, that its NOT TO LATE TO START SKATING AGAIN...i enjoy and love it now just as much as i did back when i was 17, if not MORE... so in closing i jus want to say THANK YOU GOOD SIR AND KEEP DOING WHAT YOU DO BC YOU ARE A PERFECT EXAMPLE AND INSPIRATION TO ALL OF US DADS THAT STARTED BACK SKATING FOR WHATEVER REASON EVEN THO WE HAVE TO WORK NOW, HAVE MORE RESPONSABILITIES AND NOT SO MUCH FREE TIME OR EXTRA MONEY BUT SUMHOW MAKE TIME TO SKATE AGAIN... only thing i find harder these days other than the tricks that all these young kids are doing now days is all that YOUNG ENERGY AND MOTIVATION TO GET OUT AND JUST DO IT WITHOUT FINDING AN EXCUSE NOT TO SKATE LOL....SO AGAIN THANKS AGAIN MAN

For my 4th deck I got 8 inch girl, it's been the most comfortable one for learning kickflips, I like the nose shape a lot as compared to the polar skate co deck I had before.

Girl and chocolate shapes are great. My favorite is the g052. Perfect.

I have the Biebel version in that series. Absolutely love it and I felt bad ruining the graphic because it was so pretty lol
