I don't know how well known this is, but you can actually disable the Hands Free mode in settings under 'Manage Sound Devices' in Sound Settings ( I ONLY RECCOMEND THIS IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A SEPERATE MIC)

PERSONALLY, I use the Skullcandy Crusher Evo's and the Jlab air SPORT with the hands free mode disabled, and I just have my XLR mic. Hope this helps anyone who wants to try their favorite bluetooth headphones.

Bought a pair of bluetooth headphones specifically for Counter Strike to get rid of my wired headphones and separate wired mic. As soon as you use mic the sound quality drops to tin can quality. Had no idea there was this problem with bluetooth protocol, going to return the headphones.

The most interesting thing is I have been using the same Bluetooth headphones for almost 10years now and with Windows10 and previous version I didn't have this issue but today with Windows11 yeah both channels of the headphones won't work in games - which is extremely frustrating! Great video!

So if you switch the mic the game uses to some other device, there won't be any problems ?

I just came back to this video to say that it seems it is now possible with Bluetooth 5.2 or newer to have good quality audio chat and simultaneously have good quality game audio playing as well. I have not tested this myself.

Get a bluetooth dongle that supports Aptx Low Latency and corresponding headphones that do also, that solves the latency issue and then you can disable the hands free mode in the sound control panel.

If you care enough about the sound quality and comfort advantages to headphones over headsets, the you should be willing to pay a little extra for a modmic or desk mic, and get a dongle.

Well that explains that. It would be nice if the industry would pull their collective heads out of their butts and give us decent Bluetooth Gaming headsetsSo that I don't have to have AUS B dongle plugged in to my $2000 laptop Risking snapping it off...

Which connection is better latency wise, USB or aux?

This is super nice to know!
Although I kind of wish you had gone with a wired gaming headset, just to ensure they are optimized for speed.

I wondered for a long time why can't I make my bluetooth earphone work in multiplayer games. Today, I found the answer in one of the articles from Google. Your video confirmed it. Thaks for the info. For those who want to buy a wireless earphone for gaming, don't. Well, if you play single player games which obviously doesn't have voice chat, then it won't be a problem

Thank you, I was considering purchasing the steelseries arctis 3 (Bluetooth) since I didn't want to buy a headset that could only function wirelessly on my PC, even though I purchased the airpods pro lol.

Finally, some one spoke it out! I think every bluetooth reviewer must alert the audience that bluetooth is not for gaming that requires communication

Hey techless, can you make a monitor review of the Sceptre E248B? Its another highly rated ~$200 ips gaming monitor with a 165hz refresh rate and a 1ms response time, but some features stand out on this such as the 3000:1 contrast ratio. Please show us how it compares to other gaming monitors in this price range, and show us the color accuracy & range. Thank you!

What about bluetooth 5.2? The JBL Live 660NC supports Bluetooth 5.0.
