I have this exact same setup and noticed an 10x speed improvement in my CaptureOne photo editing. I can now even edit Sony-A7R4 61mpx RAWs without stuttering (previously multi-format exports of such RAWs took 40s, now 4s). Very happy with the eGPU upgrade and also regret money spent on previous RAM (32gb) upgrade that only brought marginal speed gains to my MacMini i5 6core 3Ghz machine.

Didn't understand the connections for the Thunderbolt cable. We connect eGPU to external display and they External Display to the MacBook?

Hi, I ordered XFX RX 5700 XT THICC III & Razer core X and will get it by tomorrow, after you install both and hoop up to Imac [ late 2015 ] before you turn them on do you need to set up anything else ? you said it need to run perge wranger for bootcamp windows 10 . Could you please post how to run perge wranger on bootcamp before using egpu > Thanks again.. Have a Happy New Year..

What is the idle CPU temperature when running the monitor directly using the laptop vs through the egpu? Also does the egpu help with UI lag when running in scaled resolutions?

Hi, Do you have any issues with AMD driver and this card ? some one said it run fine but after downloaded AMD driver and it crashed so many time s and never be the same again, just about to order to day but want to make sure and ask you first, thanks again and hate to bother you.

On Razor core x GPU Card compatibility ofr macOs it does not list the RX 5700 XT ? Only the Vega cards and 580 ect.
