ISPG Webinar 22 # Microseismic Monitoring for Asset Preservation & Value Optimisation

Показать описание
Microseismic monitoring is often used for the preservation of an asset : Checking on the integrity of a cap-rock, monitoring the possible reactivation of faults in and around the reservoir, predicting the occurrence of a sinkhole, avoiding large induced seismicity to preserve the social acceptance of a project. What is well known is that in combination with geomechanics microseimic monitoring can also be used to increase the value of an asset, for example by allowing to store at higher pressure in an underground gas storage. The talk will provide several case studies exemplifying these applications.
The talk will also show how Baker Hughes offers the whole span of microseismic instrumentation and services : We can design a monitoring system, procure the equipment, install and maintain it, and then process the data and combine it with geomechanics. Our hardware offer consists of very cost-effective, reliable, and low maintenance equipment, from surface seismometers to deep borehole geophone strings. We currently monitor 23 sites all over the world.
