It being named Toast also has some poetry to it; Scizor's crippling weakness is its notorious 4x weakness to fire. Being named Toast instead of, say, Bread, indicates that it has faced the flame and not only survived it but was made even better!

I don’t know why, but this story feels so emotional to me.
A scizor corrupted with darkness like any other shadow Pokemon, was purified and transferred to countless trainers. All of them making sure Toast was given truckloads of attention, overcoming the hardest challenges. Beating the champions of regions. And being the best, Scizor, ever. With all of his achievements, he now rests with the sweet and comforting memories of all his trainers and all his achievements, until he embarks on another great journey...for ribbons.
It’s just..so odd how people can be attached to pixels on a screen. Including me.
Toast shall be remembered in all of our hearts as the Collector of many ribbons.

This is a Scizor that got to experience everything.
Its poor heart once forcefully filled with malice and hatred, Scizor not only got to overcome it, but became the best it could be through its journey.
Thrust from region to region, trainer to trainer, participating in battles, pageants, performances and championships.
Defeating legendary trainers, showing off its strength and style, pushing past its limits with Mega Evolution and Z-Moves.
For a Pokémon, that is the best any could ask for.

It might be strange to humanize Pokémon as much as I do- give them emotion, the capacity to understand the world-yet it’s all in my head.
But I find this Scizor’s ongoing journey an endearing one, for sure.

Even though it’s just data on a screen, there’s a sort of beauty from the bonds we form with our Pokémon. It’s kind of silly.

Toast the Scizor is like the ultimate Isekai protagnonist. He's constantly being transported from world to world, timeline to timeline, and trainer to trainer, and every single time he becomes one of the most decorated and accomplished Pokémon wherever he ends up. He probably has no clue why this fate has been thrust upon him, or when his world will be replaced once more.

I wish Scizor kept its golden color vs the lime green. I also love how much you used to be able to do to show your love for Pokemon in the past. I hope this National DeX cut doesn't cause too much trouble in the future
