⁴ᴷ⁶⁰ VTA: Light Rail Trains in Downtown San Jose

Показать описание
Several VTA light rail trains on the Mountain View-Winchester and Alum Rock-Santa Teresa lines are featured in this multiple-location video. San Jose's got some very nice Downtown stations, including Santa Clara and St James, which are the two stations found in this video (north and south).
Valley Transportation Authority's light-rail system consists of three lines and 41.6 miles of track. It is one of the lowest-performing light-rail systems in the country, with less than 30,000 average weekday passengers and a ridership-per-mile of 719. By comparison, MUNI light rail carries over four times as many riders on less track mileage.
VTA's ridership will hopefully boom with the opening of direct connections to BART's future stations at Milpitas-Montague and at Downtown San Jose-Santa Clara. Passengers will be able to seamlessly transfer between the two networks, which will undoubtedly serve San Jose and the rest of the South Bay well.
