my mum came with me saying she “wouldn’t like it” but I spent half the movie explaining the lore and she nearly cried in the scene after mike gets attacked by foxy💀

Explained all the lore to my dad after the movie in 5 minutes.

I watched it with my grandma and she actually loved it. She said that she liked the fact it wasnt CGI and the animatronics were real. Now we are going to do a FNAF 1 playthrough 🗿

(Edit: I'm sorry to dissatisfy everyone but this will NOT be happening. She said she isint comfortable with being recorded sadly.)
(Edit 2: Yes we had fun. She enjoyed it more than i did!)

my mom guessed the lore correctly and then called the movie cute

I was wide eyed during that scene, in an excited way, because we finally got to see the springlock scene in a more irl way, and not just 8-bit. Ik there's been other animations by fans of the springlock scene but it hits different seeing THE official version in the movie. Also, the slow, one by one, springlocking was just so bad but cinematically SO GOOD, that'll probably be imprinted in my mind forever.

Watched it with my goth Grandma, she loved that it was entirely puppetry and mascots instead of cgi. Older horror movies that she grew up with had to work with their limits. Usually, limits create a masterpiece.

My mom came with me and I was expecting her to go to sleep like she said she would but once we got past the first few minutes, she put her glasses on and kept asking about plot points and becoming so engaged with the whole movie.

At the end, she gave me a TedTalk about how the FNAF movie talks about fighting your inner demons, mental health, and how bad will not go unpunished and it was the most surrealist conversation I’ve ever had with her and it makes me floored Scott Cawthon managed to get my mom, who knows nothing of FNAF let alone video games, interested in his games. Now she wants to play them lol

I taught my dad all about fnaf and the lore a LONG time ago so once we watched the movie together (at home) we were both like “dang, that didn’t really match the lore” 💀💀💀

Bruh my dad fell asleep for half of the movie and spent the other half laughing at the jumpscares 💀

My mother was pretty chill with me explaining the basic lore since at that point I knew British torture systems etc stuff 30% worse. But my father immediately said: “IM SORRY WHAT ARE YOU WATCHING?”

Went with my dad to go see it
It was awsome
I gave my dad a 20 minute recap of the lore beforehand
Needless to say he was in awe during the springlock scene
Although he was shaking alot during the whole night 5 (he is scared of his own shadow what do you expect)

There was a child crying when Max got chopped in half...and a William Afton cosplayer screamed,
"Was that the bite of 87?!"

My Dad was so confused when the theater absolutely rioted when Cory and Mat were on screen, It was SO loud😭 Definitely the best movie experience of my life

I watched it with my mum and she was like: where is the fifth kid.
I then proceeded to explain the lore to her and she was quiet after that.
Then I started singing the fnaf 1 song :)

I love how the spring lock scene isn’t even as graphic as we all thought it would be before the movie came out

I went with my mom and sisters. I loved it, and they were just confused. So the entire car ride home was me explaining EVERYTHING
