Wonder why you didn't mention Leica's relationship with Panasonic which started in the early 2000s. Panasonic helped Leica move on to digital while Leica helped with some affordable Leica branded lenses.

I think they're over rated. Hipsters like em for the retro look but nowadays I don't think they bring anything to the table that makes them better.
