A haswell still holds up well today but limited to ddr3 so would only be worth it on a budget, possibly 2nd hand build. There's not much in it so only worth upgrading for a completely new platform. Thanks for the video and keep up the good work.

so i7 4790k from 2014 beats the cpu from end of 2017 and by alot in every game/task and costs less too!! so Intel definitelly sells same shit last 7 years only with minor improvements in nm and almost nothing more else

I don't get the pricing on this video for the i3-8350k is retail of $179 and at the highest demand maybe like $219. a 4 year old overclockable high end 4c/8t i7 should beat even a new overclockable i3 with only 4c/4t CPU. I don't get the fuss or the pricing here either. it is an improvement at lower cost. The 7th gen isn't too exciting, but the 8th gen finally got pressure from AMD.

lets overclock the old chip to 4.7 cause it cant go further and lets not overclock the new to how far it can get to make intel look bad :)
i overclocked 8350k (when i still liked intel) to 5.2 ghz with STOCK cooler and im not even sure if that old core i7 can get past 4.7 ghz....
or you shouldve overclocked them both to how far they can get or dont touch it and play fair, in both scenarios 8350k would've won...
but not by a landslide, so i dont even recommend buying intel :l
im just an AMD fanboy explaining why i like AMD better and why this vid sucks.
