It's hard to convince an expert, but it's even harder to convince an idiot

It seems the modern way of thinking is, society is to blame for people who commit crime, and not the individual. How stupid things have gotten.

That reporter is an example of a woke justice warrior.

Being "personally responsible" is what has been lost in our great nation.
Bring that home

Pierre, the reporter asked a ridiculous question but there is a silver lining in that question which is key. One of the primary contributors to repeated violent crime in major cities is a result of the closure of Riverview Hospital in Port Coquitlam BC. Severely mentally ill people resided there from all over Canada. It has the capacity to house 5000 patients as well as drug addicted people. It sits on almost 300 acres of land. Funding was cut by the Paul Martin government and became too much for the Bc government to handle alone. If your government would restore that funding, along with bail/parole reform, it would make a world of difference for Canadians.

I was a violent young offender. Not proud of it, but it happened. I went to youth prison. It was exactly what I needed. I decided I did not like being in jail and made many corrections to my life once I was released. I am pretty successful now. Repeat offenders commit crime because they choose to. There is no one else to blame.

Perhaps we can ask the reporter to billet the offenders. I guess no one is responsible for their actions - certainly not under this incompetent PM. Of course the expectation is that citizens bear the risk of offenders at large.

The reporter was trying to ask what made them do the crime in the first place and the answer is it's a choice. We all make our own choices. Do the crime do the time. It's that simple.

The likelihood of a criminal committing a crime drops significantly while said criminal is in jail.

This is such a revolutionary concept, it's little wonder the reporter couldn't grasp it.

That "reporter" is exactly what's wrong with our society.

That reporter’s parents should be embarrassed at the amount of money they wasted on his education

I work a federal prison, majority of offenders in there don’t even see the end of their parole before they return to prison. And they joke about it, the whole system is a joke.

They’re called career criminals - lock them up!

I can't believe people think like this reporter. What would this person change about society (after 8 years of Trudeau, mind you) that would keep criminals from committing violent crimes? I know what I'd do 💙✅

I got a good laugh from that. Great work. I'm going to guess that reporter was with the CBC.
