So its not an issue with the iron, its a faulty temp sensor within the tip cartridge?

oml that fixed it. I have no clue what caused it or why it works but I am not complaining. I accidentally reset my device to factory defaults, maybe the calibration on the tip got messed up.

It worked for my TS100.. not straight away though..

I was plugging it in and out a few times.. My butane torch got the thing reg hot and I moved the flame up and down the whole the whole tip (not the thin part).. I saw smoke coming from the power end.. Pulled the tip out with pliers.. Soaked it in a wet paper towel i had with me.. Put it back in when it was cool, and she works..

It doesnt last though, and need to be re done every now and then.

Surprisingly worked for me as well! Although it depends on the position. When i turn the head in place, there are some positions in which it doesnt work. But oh well good enough i guess

И на сколько хватит такого решения, на 1 раз ?

У меня была похожая проблема, но у меня заключалась в отваливании гнезда под жало, запаял, закрепил двухкомпонентным клеем и все работает.
