If history is any indication, my excitement for this game means it's going to be a total flop.

I used to be entranced with MMOs when I was younger, I always imagined them to be these incredibly expressive social spaces just online with super fun adventures and the like but the reality just is never that beautiful.

MMOs always tend to be no different then a standard jrpg/rpg's grind, with a lot of honestly anti social tendencies between the player base with almost no interactions or memorable in wild or in town encounters with other people.

I loved Lineage 2, so undoubtedly I'll play this and enjoy plenty about it.

In other words, when the game releases one of my friends will ask me why I'm not doing a raid yet and I can say "The stars are not in position for this raid!" And someone else will say "Stars.. Can't do it... Not today."

My biggest concern will be Amazon and its monetisation and if they can keep the Bot Armies at bay. Lost Ark was broken totally by Amazons inability to stop Bots.

When did we start dropping the RPG from MMORPG to become MMO. The entire orientation of these games is from an adventure role-play desire. This is where I think games could be failing. As Force mentions, he's not that interested in the story but for me this is what makes a game and why I play. I belive this lack of consideration for story and "just enjoying" playing a game and progressing at a play to enjoy pace has landed us where we are; folks wanting to level to max in 3 days and complete all content within a week, and for me I really don't see the point in this, why have a vast and beautiful world to explore just to rush through it...

recently restarted NW on fresh start server having a blast no problem staying there til TL drops

Almost turned off the video once auto combat was mentioned. Whoever has seen that in L2 knows how messed up that is.
