David (David Naughton who also starred in Makin 'It and Midnight Madness) and Jack (Griffin Dunne who also starred in After Hours And This Is Us), two American students, visit Great Britain. Despite warnings from locals, one night they decide to take a walk in the moor, and they are attacked by a werewolf. Jack is killed and David is injured. The werewolf is shot and eventually reverts to human form, but when David recounts what he saw, no one takes him seriously. He is greeted by Alex, a young nurse (Jenny Agutter who also starred in Crystal Age and The Hike), while he is recovering. During the full moon, he transforms into a werewolf and sets out on a hunt across London ...

That's one bad ass lookin' werewolf, I always thought when I saw this movie back in the 80's. That howl gets me every time(loved that the band London After Midnight used that howl in their song "October"). Props to the film score by Elmer Bernstein.

You can tell how serious this became for both of them. They originally thought David would just go mad under the full moon, but as soon as word was in about a “mad dog, ” they immediately knew this wasn’t just mental, but literally physical.
