I used to be an irish dancer, and when i tell you the amount of bias towards the dancers in fancy dresses was insane, i mean it.
I was irish dancing from age 5-11 (6 years i know crazy) and when i’d compete in a Feis (irish dancing competition), the people with dresses would get all these awards, and me with my basic blue trimmed dress got nothing. I’m sorry my parents weren’t spending 500-3000 dollars on wigs and dresses and spray tan.
Also, the system to move up levels in irish dancing got me no where, so i stopped doing it because it wasn’t fun to me anymore.
