Geiger Counter vs Uranium Ore

Geiger counter I tested on a uranium ore sample. I bought the uranium from Amazon and I was able to reach 800 CPM, and the max rated is 1273, which is not huge when compared to other radioactive rocks I've seen on YouTube. Also, commenters seem to think this is emitting tons of radiation throughout my room, that’s not how uranium works. It has such little background radiation (mostly the rock itself is radioactive) I could just sleep next to it.
