I always picture Jesus standing behind you and smiling down on you as you sing and play your guitar for you are a light to those who are searching, suffering, worrying, crying and also to those who are joyfull in Jesus. Thank you.

When I was in college, I was in the church choir. When the guitar player graduated, I picked up the title as an amateur that had a guitar as a hobby..LOL. But THIS the way I recalled the song being played. Since my college days, every church I heard play it....plays it so ssssllllooowwww that I think there is a app running slowing the song down to a crawl. We used to play it with a little pep. like in this video.

Blessed are the poor in spirit
Longing for their Lord
For God's coming kingdom shall be theirs
Blessed are the sorrowing
For they shall be consoled
And the meek shall come to rule the world

Lead me, Lord, lead me, Lord
By the light of truth
To seek and to find the narrow way
Be my way, be my truth
Be my life, my Lord
And lead me, Lord, today

Blessed are the merciful, for mercy shall be theirs
And the pure in heart shall see their God
Blest are they whose hunger only holiness can fill
For I say they shall be satisfied

Lead me, Lord, lead me, Lord
By the light of truth
To seek and to find the narrow way
Be my way, be my truth
Be my life, my Lord
And lead me, Lord, today
And lead me, Lord, today

I used to play this about 30 years ago and I miss it. And I wish I had your singing voice.

Well done as always! I refer to your music uploads to help prepare for Sunday mass. This song kind of reminds me of a John Denver melody.

John Becker was the music director at Guardian Angles Church in Oakdale, MN during the 1980's. He wrote pieces like Lead Me Lord, Litany of the Saints, Come Taste and See, & Alpha and Omega. I remember the projector screen that had John's lyrics on transparent sheets that were swapped out as the song was being played so the congregation could sing along. My sister and I heard these songs so much that eventually we didn't need to look at the projection screen as we had the lyrics memorized. She and I didn't realize it at the time, but what a treat it was every Sunday for us to watch and listen to him preform the unique pieces of music he created. I wish I could find recordings of his work that contained his own voice (nothing against you, Chris!). If anyone has them, please post a comment. I'd love to connect and possibly obtain those.

I like the tempo, as that is the way I learned that song. This song is to be lively and up beat. Other videos were performed too slow. Very good!
