Bryon Osborne Flubs Dinosaur Red Blood Cell Fossil Evidence

Показать описание
In this episode of the Hemoglobin Challenge, we here the claim made by Bryan Osborn of Answers in Genesis regarding the discovery of "intact red blood cells" in dinosaur fossils. I remind the viewer of why this claim is misleading and explain the nature of the biomolecules found in ancient fossils. I discuss the difference between preserved cells in recent specimens like mammoths and the degraded/chemically-modified molecular remains found in dinosaur bones. The goal of the Hemoglobin Challenge is to encourage more accurate representation of scientific evidence in discussions about the age of fossils and the Earth.

Meanwhile literally eveything else like the bone is completley mineral replaced.

Dr. Duff, please pronounce 'hemoglobin' the usual way. The correct way freaks me out.

Hemo goblins? Please stick with globens*

I hope you include Matt Powell on this list. His latest video perpetuates this nonsense as well.

So Joel but why are you giving these clowns a let. I don't have a degree, but I do have an inquiring mind and can read which gives me the tools to read the reports of these discoveries and I understand that we are talking about remnants of what may have been Haemoglobin (pronounced with a glow not a glob in UK English lol) and that the 'soft' tissue is only soft after an extended bath in acid. This information is well covered in even the popular science literature such as Scientific American or New Scientist. And numerous interviews with Mary Schweitzer are available in which explains at length exactly what was found and how it was found. Complete debunking the nonsense Answers is putting out.

Dr. Duff, would you mind doing a video or giving an update sometime on that MIT collagen article? "A new study from MIT offers an explanation for how collagen can survive for so much longer than expected. "

Everybody I have met in the medical field (hospitals, doctors, nurses, labs) all pronounce the word "hemo-GLOBE-in".
Extant dinosaur hemo-GLOBE-in would be a source of DNA, too, would it not? That would have made big _headlines!_ The woman (please remind me of her name) who discovered a way to work with softened dino tissue is frustrated with young Earth creationists for warping her research and reinterpreting it to suit themselves.

Also Joel you gotta fix your audio levels. The clips are barely audible.

You could make it a recurring joke to pronounce hemoglobin in a different way every video during the first ten seconds. Given that this video series will stretch into infinity, there's plenty of room for creativity. I propose hi-mogglo-bean for the next one.

Big question is have they found protiens in the soft tissue. Also where did you get the info they are not intact cells? Also one last question I know cross linking would show and I don't know that the have ever found any proof of cross linking. In fact I read they hadn't and that wasn't a religious source. So what info do you have about all that? Thanks

Scientists have found dinosaur steaks in fossils..

Okay, so he made a claim that is not true. I would like to know just how is it possible that the tissue remains soft, stretchy, and pliable for millions of years? Your turn Dr. Duff.

Old universe theory? Theistic Evolution? Death before sin? No, that route is just too wrong to go.

Why even bother to debunk faith ? The real issue with faiths is: Theists who want their faith to be the fundamentals of our laws, rules and policies. Other than that, why debate the undebatable ? The only effort should be to push back at the politisation of the Church.

Tell that to Jesus when you try to get to Heaven. You'll see Jesus one day and He'll say, He never knew you. And then eternal Lake of Fire. 🔥

We dont need complete cells to prove young earth, we only need what has been discovered.
Good luck with iron cross-linking,
Good luck with rescue devices,
And Enjoy the cognitive dissonance!

God definitely created all things approximately six thousand years ago. There's no exceptions.
