Are apple seeds poisonous?

Have you ever heard that you will get cyanide poisoning from eating an apple core/seeds? Well unless you are eating hundreds to thousands in a sitting - you will be fine! But here's where that idea came from..

As a kid i ate all of the apple sometimes and ate the seeds of cherrys (not on purpose).
I felt and feel perfectly fine...
I think you will have to eat a lot of it to even feel a little uncomfortable...

Dad once said to me while I was eating an apple “always eat the core” or something to that effect. I took his word for it.

I ate too many seeds years ago when I was doing vegan whatever and I got lightheaded. Someone told me about cyanide in seeds then I stopped. Just the fruit no problem.

I didn't know it was poisonous 😂 we normally just eat it whole, nothing wasted, but sometimes I do spit it out.

A friend's dog eats apple cores regularly. A healthier specimen you would not find.

Can’t quite put my finger on what that flavour is in the apple seeds but it’s like a spice that goes well in apple pie & other desserts
