"People see me on Goldrush and think I have a 'Rich and Famous' lifestyle....What they don't realise is I am just a normal every day Country girl who grew up in the back blocks of New Zealand....

I'm here to show others that despite the odds- you don't need money to do well in the horse world and to look professional- you just need hard work and dedication.

I take horses that no one else wants to ride- or with severe behaviour issues and train them. The results speak for themselves.

To the 'few hundred odd' Thoroughbreds off the track and the countless other horses who had been mis understood in life that I was able to work with.... Thank you for forgiving and teaching me a thing or two.

i give the horse half of the credit for being such a good horse and doing so well and he doesnt seem bothered by anything :) this chick is amazing and she deserves a lot of credit for looking after the horse so well and giving him so much freedom. thats what i like to see with horse owners, ones that actually care about them and dont just treat them like an animal or a possession or something to own. this horse is so lucky hehe!

I have to say - she really has good form over the jumps and galloping. In fact, she maintains a better seat than most riders using a saddle.

Beautiful video and heartwarming introduction to a wonderful rider. Everybody should learn to ride and jump without using bits and tack that don't allow horses to use their own sense and judgement about where to step and when to jump. The kind of riding Alycia does is a true partnership of trust and harmony. The horse and rider are a team acting as one unit - each relying on the other's strength and skill.
